We promote driver education and improvement through our Advanced Driver Training. This prepares drivers for the RoSPA Advanced Driving Test, widely recognised as the toughest driving qualification open to the public.
Who we are
Established in 1978, the Thames Valley Group of RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders currently has about 200 members, all of whom have passed the ROSPA advanced driving test within the past 3 years.
Based in Reading, our car group has a catchment area extending in a 25 mile radius, taking in Bracknell, Newbury, Slough and Basingstoke. Due to the current location of our tutors all observed drives take place within a ten mile radius of Reading.
The Motorcycle group has members and tutors from Dorking in the East to Andover in the West, North up to Oxford and South down to Portsmouth.
There are neighbouring RoADAR Groups if we do not cover your area.
How to join us
Come along, meet us and register at one of our monthly meetings. We meet on the 4th Wednesday of the month. Full details of all our meetings and events are listed on our Calendar, plus directions.

Skid pan training courses are held at Wroughton Aerodrome at various times throughout the year for Group members. If you are interested please contact Tony Parish. If you would like to attend but are not currently a member, do please join us!
