Who we are

The Thames Valley Group of RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders was established in 1978, and our Membership currently stands at about 200. All our members have passed the ROSPA advanced driving test within the past 3 years.

Based in Reading, our car group's catchment area extends in a 25 mile radius, taking in Bracknell, Newbury, Slough and Basingstoke.
The Motorcycle group has members and tutors from Dorking in the East to Andover in the West, North up to Oxford and South down to Portsmouth.
There are neighbouring RoADAR Groups if we do not cover your area.

What we do

We promote driver education and improvement through our Driving Courses which are held twice a year, the next course starting in September 2010. Full details can be found on our Calendar. This prepares drivers for the RoSPA Advanced Driving Test, widely recognised as the toughest driving qualification open to the public.

How to join us

We meet on the 4th Wednesday of the month. Full details of all our meetings and events are listed on our Calendar, plus directions.

We have a very active Motorcycle section who go on social ride-outs on the first Sunday of every month. Email bikes@roadartvg.org.uk for more information.
